IMTA alum Katie Holmes will be premiering her newest movie The Son Of No One tonight at the Sundance Film Festival. According to Film Industry Network: "The Sundance Film Festival is a place that celebrates independent filmmaking, which was originally set up by Robert Redford. The actor has created one of the most iconic institutions for film in the US since its inception, and now it carries international weight like never before. Katie Holmes' ‘The Son Of No One’ will get its premiere at the festival and Spike Lee produced ‘Pariah’ amongst a whole host of other movies."
IMTA alum Jill Wagner is back for a fourth season of Winter Wipeout airing tonight! This year's theme has been changed to winter. According to USAtoday : "We've themed everything to have a winter feel," executive producer Matt Kunitz says as he leads a visitor on a tour of the biggest Wipeout setup to date. The newest version, dubbed Winter Wipeout, also features a huge Wipeout Zone for the competitors who qualify for the final round....During the night's competition, participants on a rocket sled become human projectiles, shooting high into the air before plunging into the chilly water. Whoosh! Splash! Brrr! The sensation discombobulates one competitor so much she almost quits before going on to compete the convoluted course. 'Guys, this is pretty hard to watch,' says co-host Jill Wagner, who interviews the competitors, wrapped in winter wear. "
Jill competed at IMTA in Los Angeles in 2001 where she won Female Model of the Year! Many people know Jill best as the Lincoln Mercury Spokesperson as she has done many ad campaigns for the auto giant!
IMTA alum Adrianne Palicki will guest-star in the episode "The Thirteenth Step" on the hit show Criminal Minds tonight! The show will feature Adrianne as Sydney Manning, half of a murderous couple who are on a killing and crime spree.
In 2001, Adrianne competed at IMTA. "It was amazing. I love IMTA! I'm so sad it's over," said Adrianne in an interview with the IMTA Video Crew.

Katie competed at IMTA in 1993 and 1995, where she met and signed with her manager Al Onorato and soon landed the role as Joey Potter on Dawson's Creek. Since her role on Dawson's Creek, Katie has been in many hit movies such as Go, Pieces of April, Batman Begins, Mad Money, The Romantics with fellow IMTA alums Josh Duhamal '97 and Elijah Woods '89. She has an upcoming film The Son of No One scheduled to premiere at the Sundance film festival January 28th and a new psychological thriller Don't be Afraid of the Dark due out in February.
IMTA alum Mateo Arias is starring in a new Disney XD multi-camera comedy series called Wasabi Warriors. This live-action comedy is about a skateboarder and his friends who learn about karate and life. Production is scheduled to begin in January for a 2011 premiere.
IMTA alum Ashton Kutcher has a new modern romantic comedy opening today in theaters called No Strings Attached. The feature film is about two adults who become romantically involved and follows them as their relationship becomes more serious.
Ashton is also featured on this month's issue of Men's Health Magazine on newsstands now. He competed at IMTA in 1997 when he was awarded Most Sought After Male Model, which meant he had the most callback requests from the agents, managers and casting directors who were at IMTA scouting. Upon winning Most Sought After Male Model at the New York 1997 Convention, Ashton said:
IMTA alum Elijah Wood has signed up to appear in The Hobbit! He is set to reprise his role as Frodo, a central character in J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings books which the movie is based on. According to deadline:"Wood is confirmed to star in Peter Jackson’s “THE HOBBIT” to be shot in New Zealand. 
In addition, he has signed on to play “Ben Gunn” in Stewart Harcourt’s adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s TREASURE ISLAND along side Eddie Izzard. The 2 part/ 4 hour miniseries will be airing on SKY TV in the UK. Alan Moloney is producing with Steve Barron directing. Wood will next be seen this summer in FX’s new series “Wilfred”, as well as lending his voice to Warner Bros. “Happy Feet 2” set for release November 18th as well as Disney XD’s “Tron: Uprising” (2012), In addition, he is starring in the Sundance short “Fight for your Right Revisited” directed by Adam Yauch and starring John C. Reilly and Seth Rogen. "
